- In this study, 11 Ile de France (IF), 12 Akkaraman (AK), 14 Ile de France x Akkaraman (F1) and 11 Ile de France x Akkaraman (BC1) male lambs that were weaned at approximately 2.5 months of age, were fed individually on concentrate ad libitum for 70 days. At the end of fattening period groups were compared with fattening performance traits.

Average live weights of IF, AK, IF x AK (F1) and IF x AK (BC1) at the beginning of fattening 22.65±1.330 kg, 19.38±0.542 kg, 22.12±0.788 kg and 22.89±1.410 kg and at the end of fattening period 42.62±1.490 kg, 35.41±0.852 kg, 41.42±0.771 kg and 41.71±1.500 kg were found respectively.

In the same order the average daily liveweight gain of groups 285±9.30 g, 229±6.48 g, 276±5.68 g and 269±7.35 g and the concentrate consumption per kg liveweight gain 5.21±0.162 kg, 6.09±0.205 kg, 5.31±0.132 kg and 5.41±0.164 kg were calculated.

For all traits above-mentioned differences between Akkaraman and other three groups were found significant (P<0.01).

In the paper, liveweight, daily liveweight gain, daily concentrate intake and consumption per kg liveweight gain for various periods were tabulated. Keywords : Male lambs, fattening performance, Ile de France, Akkaraman, crossing
