Effect of Some Environmental Factors on Growth in Akkaraman and German Blackheaded Mutton x Akkaraman Gı Lambs

3 Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi, Zootekni Anabilim Dalı – ANKARA - In this study, the effect of sex, birth type, birth weight and amount of milk suckled by lambs on body weights of Akkaraman (Akk) and German Blackheaded Mutton (GBM) x Akkaraman (Gı) lambs at various stages was investigated.
The Least Squares Method was used for counting of the constant estimate and sum of squares. The effect of the above mentioned factors on the body weights were found to be as follows: In all period, the effect of sex on body weights of various stage was positive for male and negative for female, the effect of birth weight was positive except for on day 30 th for Akkaraman, the effect of sex on GBM x Akk (Gı) was negative for male and positive for female, in generally at all stages, the effect of birth weight was significant (P<0.01), the effect of milk amount suckled by lambs was 0,013 kg on days 90 th for Akkaraman and 0,015 kg for GBM x Akk Gı. Both two grups the relationships between birth weight and body weight in various stages and, milk amount suckled by lambs and body weights was found to be significant (P<0.001, P<0.05).
