The Effects of Incubation Period on Growth Traits and Carcass Weight of Quail

- This study has been carried out to determine the effects of incubation period on some growth traits in quail.

The effects of incubation period on body weight were significant (P<0.001, P<0.01, P<0.001) at all weeks. The effects of incubation period on body length were significant at hatch day, 1th, 2th and 4th weeks (P<0.05, P<0.001), but on shank length were only 3th, 4th and sth weeks (P<0.01, P<0.001). The effect of incubation period was not significant on carcass weight. Keywords : Quail, growth traits, carcass weight, incubation period
