Fak., Hayvan besleme ve Beslenme Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı, Elazığ - In this study, the effects of the rations containing low (11.44 %), medium (16.57 %) and high (21.50 %) crude protein value, prepared with soyabean meal in different proportions instead of dried sugar beet pulp with molasses on digestion of crude protein in prececal - postileal and total - area of gastrointestinal tract and the relation between digestion of crude protein and absorptlon of amino acids in 3 male sheep fitted ileocecal reenterant canules were investigated.

Digestion of crude protein and absorption of amino acids were increased in prececal area (P< 0.01) and decreased in postileal area (Crude protein P> 0.05, amino acids P< 0.01) depending on the level of crude protein in the ration. There was no significant differences between rations containing medium and high crude protein value in absorption of some amino acids in total gastrointestinal tract.

Relation between digestion of crude protein and absorption of amino acids was found stronger in prececal area (r=0.94) than in total gastrointestinal tract (r=0.81). Keywords :
