Ewes inseminated artificially by the fresh ram semen and fertility results at the Hasanoğlan and Nenek villages

- Number of 657 ewes were inseminated artificially by the fresh ram semen at the village Hasanoğlan and Nenek. Ewes in oestrus were detected by the use of teasing rams. Semen was callected by artificial vagina from the rams. For each ewe 0.1 cc, semen deposited into the cerviw. Also each ewe had one insemination during the one eostrus period.

Using undiluted semen from the rams, immediately after collection 80,7 and 91,3 lambing percent were obtained at the two villages. Average conception rate was 89,3 percent. The land is steppe, feeding and management conditions were not good enough on this part of the country. Keywords :
