The determination of clean fleece weight by squeeze machine

- This study was done to find the relation between the clean fleece weight obtained by squeeze machine and the clean fleece weight which determined by the laboratory methods. The machine, which used by us, was built in our country according to dimensions of squeeze machine that was developed P.E. Neale et al.

After machine reading of 30 fleeces were obtained, from eight regions (withers, back, rump, shoulder, side, hip, thigh, belly) of each fleece, the wool samples were taken to determine the celan fleece weights by the laboratory methods.

The clean fleece weights which obtained by these two methods were shown at the number 2 table. Correlations between machine determining and clean fleece weight and clean wool content were + 0.886 and + 0.883. Keywords :
