The relation of face covering to fleece weight, body weight, belly covering and kid production of Angora does

- A study was prepared about the relation of face covering to fleece weight, body weight, belly covering and kid production of Angora does.

Data collected on a flock of Angoras (725 does, 1-9 ages) maintained at Lalahan Animal breeding experiment farm, production records of 1965-1966. Faca covering of Angora goats was graded as a open, medium and covered. Data was analysed by statistical methods and results are being showed at table: I, II, III, IV. Results as fallows;

The increase of face covering results: The increase average production of fleece weight and belly covering.

After shearing, the body weight of open face Angora goats 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ages are more than medium and covered goats. On the other hand, the difference on the behalf of covered face at the early three years old.

Along the life (2-9 ages) kid production of open face Angora goats is % 57.2, medium % 89.32, covered % 84.48. Keywords :
