Milk and fat production index of Brown Swiss bulls bred at Karacabey State Farm

- Bull index of Brown Swiss bull which bred at Karacabey State Farm is found out and compared with other native and foregn breeds in this work.

Other studies on this subject was done in Switzerland with Brown Swiss bulls and Native Black, Southern Red bulls in Turkey. These work explained as a reference.

Nine bulls used as a material which have many daughters and dams for comparing each others.

There are many formulas for computing milk and fat production index of bulls. Our formula which is used in this study originated from Switzeland. Keywords :
