- In this experiment effects of rations which are rised energy with vegetable oil were determined, on metatype breed quails. Quails were fed at ''single period'' and ''double period''. Double period feeding has been seperated as starting period (0-2 weeks) and finishing period seperately which were protein values same but energy values being 2900, 3000 and 3100 ME Kcal/Kg with adding vegetable oil, respectively.

At the end of this experiment fattening performance; live-weights: 183.54 g -191.85 g; live-weight gains 174.70 g -182.91 g; feed consumptions: 504.26 g - 545.12 g and feed efficiencies: between 2.817 - 3.040 were determined, respectively. Carcass analysis: hot carcasse were found 128.90 g (70.82 %) - 136.00 g (72.56 %). Cost of 1 kg live weight gain (as feed consumption) were found 20.912 TL/Kg, 23.917 TL/Kg respectively.

There were significant differences among the feed consumptions and economical analysis. The best economical fattening method was ''Double Period Fattening Method'' and most suitable energy level was 2900 MEKcal/kg. As a result of experiment, it can be said that there was no beneficial effects of energy level of rations that rised vegetable oil. Keywords :
