The protein and total digestible nutrient contents of each rations were; 14.1, 59.9; 12.21, 58.8; 13.73, 61.0 percent on dry feed basis respectively.

As an avarege results; animal has gained 82.2 kg total weights for period of 120 days, with avarege 0.685 kg daily gain. 9.46 kg dry feed was consumed per kilogram live weight gain. Slighly significant differences were observed on the daily gain and feed efficiency in favor of DAK x Brown Swiss cross breed group.

The economic efficiency of operation was 0.29, 0.18, 0.53 and 0.33 for the year of experiment and following study periods 1976, 1977 and 1978 respectively. The results of this study indicate that all aspects of operation should be subject to further systematic studies and necessary measures for improving beef production in Turkey. Keywords :
