The Correlations Among Some Body Measurements and Weights of Body and Carcass Parts in Japanese Quails

- İn the study, the phenotypic correlation coefficients have been estimated among body length, breast width, shank length and body weight, cold carcass weight, breast and thigh weights.

İnvestigation was carried out using japanese quails. There were obtained high and positive correlations among body length, breast width and the weights of body and parts of carcass (P<0.001). The correlation coefficients between shank length and other traits were low and insignificant.

The correlation coefficients between the body weight and the weight of each parts of carcass were high and significant (P<0.01). Keywords :
