Fertility in bitch with prolonged proestrus

1 Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dölerme ve Suni Tohumlama Anabilim Dalı, Ankara - This study was performed with aim that female dog having prolonged proestrus was turned to its normal cycle and getting offspring with transcervical insemination method. In this study, 3 years old female dog was used and a dog with no history of such a condition. Female dog was follewed up for exceeding duration of normal oestrus and female dog has brought to the normal oestrus by using exogenous hormones semen was collected from male dog without any health problems by manipulation method and examined and female dog was inseminated with this semen.

As a result of this study, patients with prolonged proöstrus female dogs have a difficult problem to be solved by the owners to see because of the castrated animals of stop them, which is treated as a disturbance of the animals and ensure the fertility enabling us to see.
