- This study was carried out to determine the survival rate and growth characteristics, and to analyse effect of some environmental factors on Şavak Akkaraman lambs under breeder conditions. The data of study was collected from 33 Şavak Akkaraman sheep farms in Erzincan province. The data of 28 374 lambs (born between the years of 2012 and 2016) was used to analyse the traits of survival rate and growth until weaning. The birth weight, weaning weight (approximately 68 days), average daily gain, weight at 60 days and weight at 90 days were found as 3.43±0.01 kg, 17.48±0.04 kg, 203.3±0.7 g, 16.02±0.04 kg and 22.12±0.07 kg, respectively. The survival rate until weaning was calculated as 97.26±0.14 %. The factors of birth year, dam`s age, birth type and sex had significant effects (P <0.01) on all investigated traits. During the five-year period which the project was carried out, it was obtained a positive development of lambs weight with 3.18 kg on the 60th day and 4.78 kg on the 90th day. This research showed that the growth characteristics of the lambs under breeder conditions could be attained with yield controlling. Keywords : Şavak Akkaraman, lamb, growth, survival rate
