- This rearch was conducted to determine the fattening and slaughtering traits of pure and cross breed DAK young bulls. Nine pure breed and seven cross-breed DAK young bulls were used in this study.

A consantred feed containing 14.5 % CP and 2568 Kcal/kg ME was used ad.libitum. A limited amount of sainfoin straw was given as roughage.

During the period of january-may (154 day) the avarege daily gains of pure-breed DAK and cross breed DAK bulls were 814 ± 27 and 962 ± 75 g respectively.

The feed conversion values were 6.69 for pure DAK and 5.94 for cross breed DAK young bulls as dry matter.

The similar results were obtained for both genotype with respect to slaughtering traits. However, the cross breed DAK bulls have more fattening values (internal fat, kidney fat, pelvis fat) than pure breed DAK young bulls. The values were significantly different (P<0.05). Keywords :
