The effect of BI-CON 1 and Oramin K Fort on the Growth of White Plymouth x New Hampshire and New Hampshire x White Plymouth Chicks

- 30 day old White Plymouth x New Hampshire and 40 day old New Hampshire x White Plymouth chicks of both sex were used to study the effect of BI-CON 1 and ORAMIN K FORT on the growth and feed efficiency to 8 weeks of age. Each group was divided in to two random sub groups, one sub group receiving 15 g BI-CON 1 and the other receiving 50 g Oramin K Fort per Kg of the basal ration.

Basal ration included 21 and 17 % crude protein during the first 5 weeks, respectively. The chicks were fed `ad libitum`. The composition of BI-CON 1 and Oramin K Fort are shown in Table 2.

White Plymouth x New Hampshire and New Hampshire x White Plymouth groups had similar weight gains up to 8 weeks. Oramin K Fort supplementation improved growth and feed efficiency in relation to BI-CON 1. Keywords :
