Urartu Textiles and Mohairs

- The aim of this study is to add some knowledge to the Angora Goat`s history. From the material, the textile samples found in the excavations made in the year of 1973 in Patnos, were used. From the chemical, morfological and histologic analyses, one can see that these fabrics were woven from naturally colored mohair or fabrics very similar to these. This we can come to the conclusion that Angora Goat`s breeded. Keywords :
