- Diluted bull semen was sent out from Lalahan Animal Breeding Research Institute (L.A.B.R.I.) to other parts of the country between the years 1961 and 1965. Semen was sent out by railroad and motor car. 20739 cows were inseminated artificially and conception rate is 65.91 %. Another group of cow at L.A.B.R.I. were inseminated with the same semen as a control has 95.3 % conception rate. 75. cc. Sodium citrate (Na3 C6 H5 O7 – 2H2 O) and 25 cc. Fresh egg yolk was used as a Semen diluter. 15 – 20 minutes before the dilution, 1000 I.I. penicilline and 1000 I.U. streptomycin added for each cc. extender.

Two kind of semen was used during the investigation, from the stand point of semen concentration. First group has 45 million sperm for each insemination dose. Second group has 52 million sperm for each insemination dose. The two group produced 66.1 %, 64.1 % conception rate respectively.

Semen was sent out from L.A.B.R.I. with a special transportation box as shown figure: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 gives satisfoctory results, early transportations were made with thermos bottle, many of them was broken and results were not economic.

The heavy transportation seasons are: March, April, May, June and July, also insemination numbers are high during those months. The highest point of transportation is May. 26805 cc. Semen was sent out and insemination number is 8302 in May. Keywords :
