Studies about conception rate of ewes which are inseminated with diluted and stored ram semen up to 24 hours

- An investigation was performed about lambing results of ewes which are inseminated with diluted and stored ram semen in October and November, 1963. The results of the study are as follows;

Composition of the diluter is egg yolk sodium citrate and glucose. Semen was diluted with above diluter and stored between 4 and 6 hours have 71.8 % percent conception rate.

Semen was diluted with the same diluter and stored up to 24 hours gave 48.3 % percent conception rate.

Control group was inseminated with raw semen. Lambing percent of this group is 70.3 Keywords :
