BAZI YEM BİTKİLERİNİN BESİN MADDELERİ ÜZERİNDE ARAŞTIRMALAR

- A study has been carried out on the feedstuffs of 30 kinds of meadow plant which were collected from the Lalahan Animal Breeding and Research Station during the cutting out the madows. The meadow plants which were examined are as follow.

Feedstuff contents of these plants have been shown in table 3 there fore they have not been repeted here again, the percentage of feedstuffs in dry matter of feeds are as flolow;

Percentage of crude protein are changing between 7.35 percent in stipa lagoscae and 19.90 percent in convolvulus arvensis and the average of thirty plants 12.90 percent. Percentage of ash are changing between 4.23 percent in Medicago rigidula and 13.70 percent in convolvulus arvensis and the average of thirty plant 8.80 percent. Percentage of ether extract changing between 1.29 in stipa lagoscae and 4.47 percent in lactuca scariola and the average of thirty plant 2.76 percent. Percentage of crude fiber changing between 45.70 percent in stipa pulcherrima and 19.88 percent in medicago and the average of thirty plants 34.51 percent.

Feedstuff contents some of these plants were good in quality for establishing a meadow land. It has been recommended that if some one tries to set up a meadow land the plants which we examined were in good quality (form the feedstuffs point of review) must be chosen for the development of future meadow lands.
