The effect of various sunlight and rations on the fineness staple length and body weight in Akkaraman Merinos ewes

- We have studied in order to get the effect of various sunlight and rations on the fineness, staple length and body weight in 74 F2 and 44 F3 Akkaraman x Merinos ewes on Konya Animal Farm. All ewes were divided into three groups for this purpose.

Groups 1, was fed by fattening ration, which had 1656.69 g dry matter, 1040.39 g TDN and 148.57 g D.protein daily. Group 2, was fed by half of the first group, we called it normal ration. Group 3, was run on the pasture. They did not have any supplemental feeds.

Besidies, each ration groups were divided in to three subgroups according to exposure sunlight. First sup group has olways been under the shady place. Second subgroup has always been under the sunlight, and third subgroup has been both shady place and sunlight. The time of experiment was 183 days. The fineness staple length and body weight were determined in each group at the and of experiment. All differences between beginning and fnishing have been compared into groups and between groups.
