- This trial was conducted for the determination of the effects of indooroutdoor conditions on fattening performances of Simmental young bulls.

İn the indoor - outdoor trial seven bulls were assigned to each of the indoor and outdoor groups. The experiment lasted for nine months.

The concentrates used in the rations coansisted of 16 % crude protein. The experimental period was divided in to three stages. The rouhage partion of the rations were wheat straw, corn silage + straw during the first, second and third stages, respectively.

The mean body weights of the bulls were 148.7 and 150.9 kg at the start and 435.7 and 443.9 at the end of the experiment for outdoor and indoor groups respectively. The average daily gains of outdoor and indoor groups were 1067 and 1089 g. respectively; Similar results were obtained for feed conversion efficiencies. İt was concluded that the indoor animals had higher but not statistically significant performance than the outdoor animals. Keywords :
