The possibility of freezing stallion semen liquit nitrogen in Turkey

- In this study, four stallions were which breeding in the Çifteler Zootechnical Research Institute were used. The average volume of the semen taking from these stallions on the different dates was 44.4 cm³. The concentration of the spermatozoit was found 114 x 10⁶/cm³.

This semens were diluted as below

1.Glycos – Lactos – Egg york
2.Lactos – EDTA – Citrat – Egg york
3.Lactos – EDTA – Tartaric acid – Potassium phosphate – Egg york.

In the first dilution, the motilite of the spermatozoit was found sixty percent (% 60). The results taking from glycerelization, equilibration and freezing by using glycose-lactose-egg york were similiar the literatures and the motilite of the spermatozoit were obtained fourty seven percent (% 47) before freezing and fourty percend (% 40) after freezing.

This percent wasnit changed during eight months period. Keywords :
