An investigation about heritability of face covering among the Angora goats

- The object of the study is to detect heritability of face covering among the angora goats.

One year old male and female Angora goats has been maintained on the Lalahan Animal Breeding Experiment Farm as a material. Based on 271 paternal off spring, heritability of face covering obtained by the method of paternal half sib analysis of off spring of (15) bucks.

As a result, heritability of face covering among the angora goats is 0.376 ± 0.051. This figure indicates that face covering heritability is high among the Angora goats. Keywords :
