BİCON-2` NİN LEGHORN TAVUKLARINDA YUMURTA VERİMİNE TESİRİ ÜZERİNDE BİR ÇALIŞMA

Zakir ENÇEVİK

- The effects of Bicon-2 on egg production of Leghorn hens have been controlled on Konya State Farm, and the results as follow;

One hen in Bicon-2 group has been yield 34.40 eggs during the test period (that is 62 days), when another hen in control group had only been yielded 31.06 eggs. But, on the other hand, the yield of total Bicon-2 group has been 18065 eggs, when the control groups been 16310 respectively during the test period of 62 days. The difference of 1755 eggs (that is 10.7 %) has been on behalf on the Bicon-2 group.

Although the cost of the Bicon-2 per hen was 58.02 kuruş, but against this excess cost 3.04 eggs have been overyielded in respect of control groups; and consuming that one egg is of 38.10 kuruş value, this overproduction would make a total of 115.82 kuruş and 57.80 kuruş difference has been net return for each head of hens in Bicon-2 group.

If the calculations are made having the two groups as a whole; Even though a 304.65 Tl. excess money has been spent in the Bicon-2 group as the cost of Bicon-2 itself, but 1755 eggs totalling 668.65 TL. have been overyielded. So, the Bicon-2 group of 525 hens provided a 364.00 TL. return during the test period of 62 days.

The results have shown that Vitamin and Antibiotic supplements to the poultry rations had a positive effect on yield and paid for the supplement cost as well as it caused same return which could not be minimized, at all. Keywords :
