- 120 day old Newhampshire chicks were used for this experiment. The chicks were diveded in to four groups, 30 chicks in each group. The first group which was the control group was given normal chick ration. To the second, third and fourth groups rations 5 %, 10 % and 15 % mycelium was mixed respectively. The experiment lasted for 9 weeks.

Feed and water were given ad libitum. The feed consumption was recorded weekly for every group. The chicks were weighed individually every week.

At the and of the experiment the body weight for the 1, 2, 3 and 4 groups were 1043.4, 1053.2, 1037.8 and 1009.7 gr Respectively. The feed consumption for 1 kg body weight gain for the groups were 2.94, 2.90, 3.01 and 3.16 kg respectively.

The results showed that there were no differences between the control group and the others for the feed consumption and body weight gain statistically (P>0.05). Keywords :
