- In the present study one Holstein bull was used at Çukurova Agricultural Administration Laboratories. Collected ejaculates were evaluated spennatologically, diluted with Tris extender and frozen with liquid nitrogen vapour in straws of 0.5 ml.

Frozen semen have been thawed at 40 ºC for 10 s (Sec.), 40 ºC for 5 s, 38 ºC for 10 s, 38 ºC for 5 s and 35 ºC for 15 s (control group), motility and acrosomal defect ratios were 65.7 %; 12.3 %; 63.2 %; 19.3 %; 66.0 %; 11.4 %; 64.2; %; 18.7 % and 65.4 %; 9.2 % respectively.

In İskenderun, total 596 inseminations were resulted in 398 conseptions and the conception ratio was 66.8 % respectively.

Total number of insemination was 471, and conception and conception ratio were 320 and 67.9 % to respectively, in Dörtyol. The general mean of conception ratio was 67.3 % in both countries.

In this, the relation between the motility and the acrosomal defect ratios of frozen bull semen thawed at different temhperatures and times and the fertility was detected. The optimum thawing temperatures and times have been determined as 38 ºC for 10 s, 40 ºC for 10 s and 35 ºC for 15 s (control group). Keywords :
