İsmail KARTAL

- This study was conducted on Karacabey Brown Swis cows to determine the milk production length of lactation and to find out there is or nat any correlation between birth weight of calves and milk production.

Material for this study was selected randomly from the herd of Karacabey Brown Swiss pregnant cows. Following the calving, 50 cows were taken to trial barn and controlled their production through out lactation period.

The results of yearly lactation average daily lactation average days of milking and average calf birth weight were recorded in tables no. 3, 4, 5, 6.

The average milk production per cows increased 936 kg. This difference is depend upon the regulations of feeding because in spite of these cows ate same feed last year the increase on milk production depend upon the effect of individual feeding. Keywords :
